We all know the dreaded feeling of realizing that a hard, painful pimple is developing deep under your skin. The good news is that this is actually the stage where treatment is most effective. Our methods have proven to be extremely effective and we will teach you how to get rid of pimples under the skin.
The first thing that you should be aware of is that pimples are the result of inflammation. When you strain your shoulder or pull a muscle in your back, you generally will ice it and take anti-inflammatory medicine such as ibuprofen or motrin. This is to reduce the inflammation and prevent your injury from getting any worse. Since pimple formation is very similar to this process, we will use the same treatment methods to stop the growth in its tracks! This is an extremely time sensitive treatment method and you must start the process as soon as you notice a pimple forming. If it breaks the surface, these methods can actually be counterproductive. So please make sure the pimple is still under the skin.
No matter how hard, large, or deep the pimple or cyst, it can be prevented from breaking the surface. The first step that you want to take is to use an anti-inflammatory medication of your choice. Of course, please read the instructions before taking any medications for the first time. If taken incorrectly, they can cause stomach bleeding and other less than desirable side effects. Often times they recommend taking a little more for the first dose. Take the doses as instructed for the next day or two. You will want to avoid alcohol as this often interacts with the medication. Alcohol is also not good if your goal is to have a clear complexion.
The next step is ice. You can either use a piece of ice wrapped in a sandwich bag or an ice pack wrapped in a washcloth. Covered frozen vegetable bags also work great too. The reason that we want to cover the bags is that you do not want to directly apply ice to your face or any other part of your skin. This can cause damage that can possibly be worse than the blemished caused by the pimple you are trying to fight. We recommend the first icing session to last about 15 minutes directly on the pimple. After that, 10 minutes every hour has proven to give good results. This whole process should last about a full day or 2. More often than not, the pimple will never actually break the skin! However, if it does break the skin, it will be reduced significantly than what it would have been without any icing. It also does not hurt to apply spot treatments such as Alpha Hydroxy Acid and Tea Tree Oil to the emerging pimple. We hope that this guide on how to get rid of pimples under the skin will help you. Please do not forget that the most important factor for desirable results is time. Good luck!
